Young people in Today’s world are being misled and misrepresented about the God who reveals himself in His Holy Word, the Bible. This urgent situation necessitates that these young people are well-trained and rooted in biblical doctrine from a young age, enabling them to protect themselves from false teachings when wicked teachers introduce them.
The biggest problem these young people are facing is that false teaching is hard to distinguish from biblical teaching because it uses some portion of the word of God to persuade them.
On the other hand, since these young people are concentrating on school and chasing their dreams, they hardly ever get to study the Bible despite attending Church regularly. So, it is an excellent opportunity for EFG to teach them biblical doctrine using a resource like the Westminster Confession of Faith.
The Westminster Confession of Faith is a significant resource. It deals with important doctrines of the Christian faith, such as the inerrancy of the Word, the person and work of the Holy Trinity, the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the institution of the church. This Confession, rooted in a sound biblical study by key figures like Samuel Rutherford and John Owen, is a valuable tool for our cause.
Compared to modern works, the Westminster Confession is impressively still valid despite having been written hundreds of years ago. In a world where beliefs can often be distorted or ambiguous, the Confession provides distinctiveness and cohesion. It gives clear instructions on how believers should conduct themselves according to the word of God, who created us.
Therefore, EFG engages young people and introduces them to the WCF to train them in biblical doctrine and enable them to protect themselves from false teachings in today’s world.
